So, when I pray for my girls, I always find that my prayers have two very distinct focuses. For Kimee, my prayer usually sounds something like this, "Lord, please help me to allow Kimberley to take risks, even if they make ME nervous. Please keep her safe from broken, twisted, and sprained limbs. Give her a strong sense of discernment so she will know which risks are not worth taking. Amen."
For Simone, my prayers are a little different. I pray that God will give her courage and boldness. I pray that she will know that her thoughts are worth sharing and that she will always be brave enough the speak her mind. I pray that she will be more confident than I was when I was a child. And in life, when she gets the choice to sit it out or dance, I pray that she will choose to dance.
**I just used my favourite parts of the lyrics in my layout :)
I Hope You Dance
by Lee Ann WomackI hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance.

This is amazing, Racq...especially that you've captured her shyness in this shot!

Raquel.......I attended the etsy virtual lab last night and made a note of your blog - to study for my blog education. I haven't jumped into the blogosphere yet but am planning to. yours is just what I'd like mine to be like, artistic, sophisticated, cool!!
